Free import, for all passengers:

– personal effects and clothing for own use;

– 250 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 25 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco; and

– 2.25 liters of spirits or 2.25 liters of wine or 9 liters of beer; and

– 250 milliliters of eau de toilette or 100 milliliters of perfume; and

– other articles up to a value of VUV 50,000.- per person.

Fruit, plants, meat (also if chilled), fish or shellfish imported by individual passengers for personal use require a permit in advance from the Plant Quarantine of the Veterinary Service of the Vanuatu Department of Agriculture.

Local currency (Vanuatu Vatu-VUV) and foreign currencies: no restrictions. However, amounts over VUV 1,000,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared.

The import of certain endangered species of plant, live animals and their products is prohibited or restricted under CITES.
